Merry Monday #56

Wow, the months are flying by….how did it get to be April???  Come play along with us at Merry Monday….you will need Christmas cards before you know it!  We have a fun sketch this week to get you started.  I flipped the sketch for my card.

I have loved creating Christmas cards with the Pear & Partridge paper pack.  The paper pack has since retired and I just cut into my very last sheet of the partridge paper!  I am sure I will manage to create a few more cards before the pack is officially finished!  I just ordered some new Christmas papers from Carta Bella, so hopefully those will be here for next week’s challenge!

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

B1107 Holly Christmas Stamp Set

Clearly Sentimental About Christmas Stamp Set-MFT

Retired Pear & Partridge Paper Packet

Z2114 Cocoa Ink

Z891 VersaMark Ink

Z659 Cranberry Embossing Powder

Jute Ribbon-American Crafts

Fishtail Dies-MFT

I have entered my card in the following challenges:

Amusing Challenges-Anything Goes

Catered Crop-Add Twine (I used red jute twine across the front of my card)

Creative Inspirations Paint-Anything Goes

Design Tip:I did not apply adhesive to the bottoms of my banners.  I gave the ends a slight curl to add dimension to my card…but still leave it mailing friendly.  To get a slight curl, I rolled the banner ends around my piercing tool.

Be sure and stop by the other Merry Maker’s blogs to see their creations!

  1. It's a bit of a shock to see a beautiful Christmas card on the day after Easter! Aacckk, slow down!! But, of course, it's for the delightful MM challenge, which I planned to join starting January 1st. I've made exactly zero cards. (I guess I didn't commit to a year, so no worries!)

This one is a real beauty, Allisa! Thanks for that cleverly inspired tip about rolling up the ends of banners! Coolness!!

  6. You placed the designer paper perfectly and I love how the banners curl up a bit. Thank you for joining me in my Amusing Challenge Anything Goes on Mar 31…I'm sorry it's taken me so long to pop over for a visit and I'm so glad I finally made it! 🙂
