Merry Monday Challenge #44

Merry Monday is back for the New Year!  I know it seems like you just got finished mailing your Christmas cards, but now is the best time to start building your Christmas card stash for the coming year!  We are mixing things up this year at Merry Monday….we will not only be doing sketch challenge, but color and theme challenges as well!  We are starting off the year with a color challenge. I can’t wait to see your creations with the following colors:

I kept my card on the clean and simple side.  I spent a small fortune mailing out my Christmas cards this year and I did not even manage to get them all mailed out! My tons of layers and fancy bows really add up when it comes to postage! This card only has one layer, so should easily mail for one stamp!

My snowflake shapes were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophycartridge and then stamped with the coordinating Snowflakes stamp set.  I popped up the snowflakes and added score lines to add more dimension to the card.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

Z1686 Cricut Art Philosophy Collection

D1480 Snowflakes Stamp Set

C1525 Christmas Set

1385 White Daisy Cardstock

Pool Party DSP-SU

Z2192 Pacifica Ink

Z2116 Cranberry Ink

Retired Glitter Gems

I have entered my card in the following challenges:

CHNC-Christmas with no Santa

Hotshot Crafts-Clean & Simple

Simply Create Too-Let It Snow

That Craft Place-Snowy Christmas

The House That Stamps Built-Snow

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Allisa, I love your CAS snowflake card! And I hear you re the postage ($1.29 to mail out my thick cards this year!) so I too will be making an effort to do some attractive "slim" Christmas cards this year. I really love this colour combo for Christmas, too!

  3. I love your clean and simple card, Allisa! I agree with Hazel! Good idea to keep things to one layer to cut down on your mailing expenses! Excited to be working with you as a Merry Maker for 2013! Happy New Year!
