MFT Color Challenge #136

Wow, only a few more days left in February!  Which also means, you only have a few more days to add this gorgeous Stamp of the Month to your collection!  I so love this bouquet of flowers, they can totally work for any occasion.  I stamped up a few panels of the bouquets and put them in my car with my Prismacolor pencils.  I live in a rural area, and a trip to the store is a 90 mile round trip!  Add in a little weather and it is easy to get stuck somewhere.  Some people are all worried about being stocked up on water and food in the car…..I just want images to color!  Though, I do have a stash of food and water as well!  While deciding what colors to go with, I came across the MFT Color Challenge.  While the colors are possibly not your typical bouquet colors, I knew I could make it work!

Flowers come in all colors, so I know there is a Peach bouquet out there somewhere!  As I was coloring my image, I had visions of a country wedding!  I know absolutely no one having a country wedding anytime soon, so I turned it into an anniversary card!  My image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol.  I literally only  used four pencils for this image.  I picked a pencil for each of the colors in the color challenge.  The cream is hard to see in the photos, but I did color two flowers in cream and added peach accents to them. I popped up my bouquet with 3-D foam tape for more dimension.

My background was created with the Cricut Artbooking Collection.  I am a huge fan of cover dies…but they can put a serious dent in your crafting budget.  The beauty of the Cricut Collections is that you can re-size the images for any project.  I sized this image to fit my A2 card, but it could have easily been sized for a 12×12 scrapbook page or downsized to use as an accent.  You seriously get a lot of bang for your buck with the Cricut Collections.  You can purchase all of the Close To My Heart Cricut Collections through my affiliate link at Cricut.  You get instant access to your purchase! Here are just a few of the images that are included in the Artbooking Collection, so many overlays!

  1. Gosh I love all the components of this card Allisa. Such a pretty colour scheme and the background cover die looks just like a trellis the flowers could climb up. Thanks for joining us this week at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge. Tristan DT.
