New Product Blog Hop

Welcome to the New Product Blog Hop!  We will be featuring new products from the 2013 Spring/Summer Idea Book.  If you have came here from Beth’s Blog,
you are on the right path.  The blog hop is a great big circle, you can
start here and work your way around.  If you get lost along the way,
you can find a complete list of participating consultants here.

My card was not only created with new products but also with a sketch from a new challenge blog in town, Cards inEnvy. The concept behind the challenge is to keep bulky embellishments to a minimum so that your card will fit into a regular envelope for mailing.  If I can restrain myself from using 3-D embellishments, mailing cards will be so much easier!  Here is the original sketch design:

My shapes were cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge.  I did manage to put a couple of pop dots in between my layers to add dimension while still keeping my card on the thin side!

I inked my sentiment in Pear ink and then inked the top part of the sentiment in Outdoor Denim to achieve the two tone colors.  The strip along the bottom of my card is a zip strip from one of the pattern papers in the Chantilly paper pack.

  4. That is a lovely color combination and I really like the clean look of the card. There is a lot going on but it doesn't look too busy at all. This is a card I wish I had made! Thank you for joining our Cards In Envy challenge . I look forward to having you take part in future challenges.
