Springtime Baby Love

Baby Love is one of my favorite stamp sets.  The set has the most adorable images.  Sadly, it has been retired from Close To My Heart.  The challenge at CAS-ual Fridays this week is to combine black with pastels.  I heat embossed my image and sponged on the grass and clouds in the background for my pastel colors.  The layered shapes were cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.

I finished off the inside of the card by sponging on more clouds and adding a sun to go along with my saying of chasing the clouds away.  All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

Z1686 Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

B1368 Baby Love

D1476 Card Chatter-Sympathy

1386 Black Cardstock

1385 White Daisy Cardstock

Z891 VersaMark Ink

Z670 Black Embossing Powder

Z2194 Sky Ink

Z2197 Pear Ink

Z2152 Sunny Yellow Ink

Tuxedo Black Ink by Memento

Die-Namics Wonky Scallop Border by MFT

Design Tips-I created my cloud template by cutting the Wonky Scallop Border die and sponging on sky ink in varying shades.  I created the sun by punching a circle into a post it note and sponging on yellow ink inside the cut out. I then covered my sun and added more clouds with my cloud template.

I have entered this card in the following challenges:

Jellypark Challenges – Weather

Little Red Wagon -Clean and simple

Simon Says Stamp and Show… – Handmade Backgrounds (sponged background)
