On Your Birthday

I am stocking up on the birthday cards with the Party Time Picture My Life cards.  This sweet balloon print was perfect for the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches-

To create my card, I started by using a stitched panel die on a PML card to create my background.  A strip of Raspberry grosgrain ribbon follows along with the sketch. I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Raspberry ink and popped it up with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  My sentiment is from the On Your Birthday Stamp set.

Close To My Heart is currently having a Stamp-tacular Sale and all stamps are on sale! You can add this set to your collection for only $12.25 during the sale!  I am trying to get ahead on my birthday cards, so I don’t need to use the belated sentiments so often!

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

  1. Seize the Birthday Challenge is the right way to go if you want to increase your on hand birthday cards. I love that I have a stack to pick from each month as I select just the right one to send out. Your card is just right for many birthday celebrations. Thanks for sharing it with us.

  3. Loving all the balloons – various colors and patterns. So fun! I also love all the white space above the balloons. It makes me imagine where these balloons will float to. Thanks for joining us at Addicted to CAS.

  4. Hello, Alissa
What works better for birthday cards than balloons?! I like the watercolor effect of yours with the overlapping translucent colors – very festive! Thank you for joining our challenge at ATCAS. xoxo Fran
