Rainbow Bridge

So many of my friends have recently lost fur babies. Having lost many fur babies over the years, I know that pet sympathy cards are truly appreciated.  When I saw the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch, it was a pet sympathy card in the making.  I pretty much followed the sketch exactly-

I created a rainbow panel with a trio of  Distress Oxide inks. (Candied Apple, Fossilized Amber and Faded Jeans) After my panel was complete, I  lightly spritzed with water.  I adhered my rainbow panel and a thin strip of black to White Daisy cardstock and then die cut with a stitched frame die.  I prefer to adhere all my layers together and then die cut for a seamless look.  The paw prints were die cut with textured back cardstock.  My sentiment is from the Rainbow Bridge stamp set, which has made a comeback in the Online Only section of my website.

I created my rainbow panel slightly larger than needed, to insure that I had a smooth finish on the edges.  I took part of the left over strip and added it to the inside of my card.
