Rock that Cap and Gown

Graduation season is upon us! My youngest is literally counting down how many days of school are left. I am just hoping summer might actually arrive with graduation! I created my card based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. Here is the original sketch design-

When I saw the sketch, I knew it would be perfect for a mini shaker card. I started with a die cut panel of White Daisy cardstock. I added the stitched opening and popped up the panel with 3-D foam tape to allow for the shaker feature. I filled the shaker window with a mix of confetti stars and graduation caps. My stamped graduation cap was mounted with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. The end result is a super simple, yet unique graduation card.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

  • 1385 White Daisy Cardstock
