Once
again, I managed to miss the CASE Study Challenge last week! I love the inspiration photo this week, and
had to give it a try! The inspiration
card features a rosette. I have never made a rosette before. It turned out to be super simple and I love
the effect. Here is the original
inspiration photo by Joy
Taylor.
I went with a different color scheme and added a little here and there…..but almost a direct case! I am still working on having a better relationship with my sewing machine….so I added a stitched border.
Here is a close up of the crown jewel on the card! For my rosette, I cut a piece of paper 12″ long by 1 1/2″ wide. I scored the strip every 1/4″. My butterfly was inked with Juniper ink and then rolled in Cocoa ink. The antenna are left over strips of burlap that I still had on my desk. I inked them up with Cocoa ink to match. I added Smooch spray to give the butterfly some shimmer and shine!
