We all know that Sympathy cards are so hard to create. It is so much easier to have them on hand, vs creating at the last minute. I have paired some gorgeous new products to create a CAS Sympathy card. This card came together in mere minutes. If you have yet to check out the new Close To My Heart products, here is a quick look at some of the products used. I first die cut the Olive Branches Background Die in Sapphire cardstock. This background die is so versatile and is the perfect size at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″.
I then cut a coordinating piece of pattern paper from the new Serenity Collection at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and applied my Olive Branches die with Liquid Glass adhesive. Liquid Glass is my go to adhesive. It literally holds just about everything and you only need a tiny bit! The Serenity Collection is stunning! Here is a look at the paper pack-
I am not even a blue fan….but this paper pack just calls my name! LOVE! The collection coordinates with our new color of the year, Blue Belle. ( I am sure those of you from the south, will instantly think Ice Cream!) In keeping with the blue scheme, I die cut a stitched oval out of Blue Belle and stamped my sentiment in Sapphire Ink. I popped up my sentiment panel with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. I then mounted my completed panel to a White Daisy card base.
I finished out the inside with a sentiment from the With Heartfelt Sympathy stamp set and a zip strip from the Serenity Paper Pack. Close To My Heart pattern papers include a coordinating zip strip on each side. These are great for adding borders to your projects. The completed card took less than 5 minutes to create! I plan on creating multiples to have a few on hand.
