Shades of Pink…

Can you guess what my new favorite stamp is???  The lovely floral bouquet that is featured in the February Stamp of the Month!  There are soo many possibilities with this set.  I decided to go with many shades of pink for this one.  Being totally honest, when I first got this set, I googled floral bouquets to see what came up.  There are a ton of color variations for floral bouquets, but pink does seem to be the most popular! I created my card based on the sketch challenge at CAS(E) this Sketch–

I had numerous ideas for the striped background, finally deciding on the striped paper from the Cedar & Pine Collection.  Yes, this is actually from a Christmas themed paper pack! I so love the double sided papers that are included in the Close To My Heart paper packs.  They include theme specific as well as a more neutral coordinating pattern, increasing your mileage out of the paper! My floral bouquet is stamped in Intense Black ink and then colored in with Prismacolor Pencils.  I blended out the pencils with Gamsol.  I actually took my pencils on a road trip and managed to get in a little coloring time.  I do have a whole new respect for those of you that color on the go!  I have gotten so use to coloring at my desk, that the struggle was real!
