I finally made it back to the craft room, just in time to enter the Sketch Challenge at Sketch Saturday! They have a super easy challenge this week, you get to pick any previous sketch! I went with Sketch #326-
The sketch was a perfect fit for my Custom Ornament Thin Cuts! I decided to mix things up and go with a fun shaker card! Shaker cards are soo unexpected and really come together quickly! I might have slightly overfilled this one, but it has plenty of bling for the holidays! To create my card, I first die cut the stitched panel and then die cut the ornament shape out of the same panel. I cut the ornament topper out of Evergreen cardstock, and “hung” the ornament with Silver Embellishing Thread. I then inked up my sentiment from the Stamp of the Month-Reindeer Crossing–
After my top panel was complete, I flipped it over and applied acetate to cover the window. A quick tip-you can really use just about anything clear for your windows. You know those clamshell cases that you purchase products in that everyone hates? Those can easily have a second life in your craft room! I keep a small stash of empty cases and just cut the acetate to fit. I would much rather spend my money on stamps and dies, vs buying pristine acetate sheets. After applying the acetate, I adhere 3-D foam around the shape. Then you can add a little or a lot of sequins and then adhere your bottom layer. Honestly, it took me way longer to type this than it did to complete the card!

I love this card, it is a contrast, the design itself is very simple but the shaker aspect and the sequins take it up a notch and make it amazing! Very pretty! Thanks for playing along with Heart 2 Heart Challenges (H2H).
