I know Christmas cards are shocking to see in February for some, but I am a leisurely Christmas card maker! I prefer to make my Christmas cards all year long. I rarely make the same card twice, so I am more suited to making individual cards throughout the year. I think the huge mass production weeks before the holidays takes some of the fun out of card making! I created this card based on the sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday–
I have totally missed out on the last few challenges at Sketch Saturday. So glad to see them back up and running! I am hoping my three mini trees suffice for the three banners in the sketch! I created my card with a lot of help from the Spruced Up Paper Collection. This paper collection is retiring at the end of February and there are only a few sets left!
To create my card, I embossed a piece of French Vanilla cardstock with a Snowflake Embossing folder. I then added the snow scene sticker from the included sticker sheet. I popped up the large pine tree sticker with 3-D foam tape for more dimension. To be totally honest, I am not a sticker fan…..but I so love Close To My Heart stickers! For starters they are totally color coordinated with the papers, which coordinate with the inks, which coordinate with the embellishments! Not to mention, they have great details! They are so not your run of the mill stickers! I finished off my card with a triple bow out of Baker’s twine across the top. My sentiment is stamped in Julep ink. The sentiment banner and panel were then matted onto Julep cardstock. My sentiment is from the Say It In Style stamp set-
This set of 41 stamps is currently part of the Stamptacular Sale, and is only $12.25! The sale ends February 29! You can view all of the sale items here!
