Sketch Saturday #675

I so love the combo of Glacier and Espresso. The combo creates a slightly vintage feel for a holiday card. My card is based on the sketch challenge at Sketch Saturday. Here is a look at the original sketch design-

I strayed ever so slightly from the sketch. The moment I saw the tilted rectangle shape, I knew a tag would be the perfect fill in. I actually created my tag and built the card around it. The layered pine cones were perfect for a Christmas creation. My card was created with the White Pines Collection. To create my card, I started by cutting my tag shape with the Tags & Tabs Thin Cuts in French Vanilla. I then layered on the pinecone stickers and added a Merry Christmas sentiment in Espresso ink. My completed tag was then layered in Glacier & Espresso cardstock, with a trio of ribbons added. In keeping with the sketch, I added in a layered banner and a fun tab along the bottom. My tag was mounted with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. A few sequins add a little bling and complete the card.
