My card is based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. The card design came instantly in my head when I saw the sketch……the only problem is, I pictured it in watercolor. I so need more practice with watercolors. I love the look, but artist, I am not! I still think the card turned out cute, just not like I pictured it to start with! Oh, how often that happens. Here is the original sketch design-

To create my card, I started by stamping my images with Black Pigment ink onto watercolor paper. I embossed the images in clear embossing powder. I much prefer to stamp in black and emboss in clear. No worries about stray black embossing powder! Color was added with Kuretake watercolors. I used the watercolors to create the block featured in the sketch. After the panel was dry, it was die cut with a stitched rectangle panel die and mounted onto Saddle cardstock.
