The Color Throwdown #619

I was super excited to see the Sneak Peek of The Color Throwdown Challenge.   This is one of my favorite color combos for creating Christmas cards.  I just love the red and aqua combination  paired with white with a touch of silver.  So crisp and clean!

My biggest challenge was decided which of my new products to use!  Since we are having blizzard conditions here today, snowflakes it is!  My card is super simple and is created with the new Yuletide Borders Thin Cuts by Close To My Heart. This adorable set comes with six metal dies and the borders measure 5 3/4″ long.  I trimmed my snowflake border to 5 1/2″ to create my card.  Here is a look at the complete set-

To create my card, I started with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ base of Glacier cardstock.  I cut two of the snowflake borders in White Daisy cardstock. The Merry Christmas sentiment was cut in Candy Apple cardstock. I added 1 1/8″ inch squares of Candy Apple cardstock behind every other snowflake. The snowflake borders were trimmed to 5 1/2″ for a standard size card.  They were adhered to the Glacier cardstock base, with silver embellishing thread used as an accent. A few Bitty Sparkles finish off the card.  Super simple and easy to mass produce if you wish!
