The Paper Players #479

LeAnne is having a great sketch challenge this week at The Paper Players!  I usually create Christmas cards all year long….so that I have a stash built up when the holiday season arrives.  Somehow we have made it to the end of February and this is the first Christmas card I have created this year! The sketch challenge is perfect for any occasion!  I can’t wait to see your creations in the gallery, here is the original sketch design-

My card is created with the soon to be retired Spruced Up Paper Collection.  The lovely pinecone cluster is actually part of the die cut stickers that are available with the paper.  This collection is perfect for your holiday crafting and winter scrapbooking.  Here is the complete paper pack-

I added a little bling, with a clear shimmer brush, to my pine cones. My image is popped up with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  The Merry Christmas sentiment is stamped in New England Ivy ink.  Here is a close up of the many layers-

  1. I've been behind on making my Christmas cards too, so I am glad to see that you've begun to create yours! And how easy was this, with that big gorgeous pine cone sticker?! Love the natural colors, very organic and earthy! Thanks for making my sketch look awesome!

  2. Your pine cone spray makes a gorgeous centrepiece for your card Allisa and I love the subtle pattern to the panels behind. You are official on your way too now as far as Christmas card making is concerned!!

  3. Yes, indeed, that sketch worked perfectly to highlight that fabulous pinecone spray! Good for you to create Christmas cards all year long, I get too distracted by coloring flowers and such, so I'm usually working on them come fall. Beautiful card, Alissa!
