The Paper Players #483

Claire has created a super fun sketch for the challenge at The Paper Players this week! My card was created based on a 8.5 x 11 scrapbook page from the Close To My Heart Cricut Complete Creativity Collection. I loved the elements on the page and downsized it to card size. Here is the original scrapbook layout-

In keeping with the sketch, I simply deleted the elements that I did not plan on using.  The beauty of the Cricut Collection, is you can cut them to just about any size.  I took the 8.5 x 11 layout and downsized it to 4.25 x 5.50.  I added in a scalloped oval die for my sentiment. My sparkly strips are white shimmer trim that I colored with a Copic marker.  I added some sparkle to my flower as well, but it is hard to tell in the photos.

Here is the original sketch design, hope to see you in the gallery this week!

  3. Everything about this is sooo pretty Allisa! I especially love the sparkly strips and it's good to know you can safely use Copics to color white glitter paper, I've been too chicken to try LOL!

    • I normally use the brush tip for coloring images and rarely use the chisel tip. Since the glitter can be a bit rough, I used the chisel tip to be on the safe side!
