The Paper Players #504

Summer is so short lived in Wyoming.  The days are already getting shorter and the start of school is a definite sign that summer has come to an end.  In the spirit of school starting back in session, Claire is hosting a CAS Back to School themed challenge at The Paper Players!

Kudos to all the teachers out there and to all the parents who have become home school teachers!  Challenging times for everyone.  I greatly admire those with the patience to choose teaching as a profession. In keeping with the CAS theme,  I let the Teacher’s Pet paper pad by Echo Park do all the work for me!  My base is a subtle print from the pack with tons of equations. I matted the sentiment panel with Twilight cardstock and added a few bitty banners in Saffron and Twilight. My sentiment panel is applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  A few enamel dots complete the card.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

1385 White Daisy Cardstock

X5961 Saffron Cardstock (retiring soon!)

Twilight Cardstock-Retired

Teacher’s Pet Paper Pad-Echo Park

Enamel Dots-Echo Park

Banner Die-MFT

Stitched Panel Die-Simon Says Stamp

I have also entered my card in the following challenges:

Shopping Our Stash-KISS

  3. Really love that large sentiment Allisa and the way you've embellished it simply with enamel dots. It's going to be a weird return to school for so many this year – and not at all for many others :/

  6. Allisa, this is SO true. I still remember some of my junior and high school teachers. They so instilled in me a live-long love of learning. I wish they were alive that I could send them THIS card. Fabulous take on the challenge this week
