The Paper Players #506

Happy Sunday!  Time for a new challenge at The Paper Players!  Ann is hosting a Tic Tac Toe Challenge this week.  I was so close to using every option on the grid, but couldn’t pull off adding ribbon to my project!  You only need to pick one row to play along!

September is quickly approaching, and with it comes TWO new catalogs by Close To My Heart. My card features some of the great new products as well as some old favorites.  My stamps are from the Bloom with Grace Collection.  This super fun collection features a variety of sunflower images.  Here  is a look at the set with coordinating Thin Cuts.

The set pairs perfectly with the gorgeous new Wood Grain paper pack.  I see many packs of this paper in my future!  Wood Grain is right up there with my love of all things burlap!

My card is based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.  I used my cluster of flowers as stand in for the trio of shapes in the sketch.

To create my card, I started with a stitched rectangle panel from the Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts.  I applied a wash of Canary ink with the help from the Strokes of an Artist stamp set.  This stamp set is retiring in just a few short days and is available while supplies last!  I applied my sentiment with Espresso pigment ink and clear embossed. My sunflower image was inked in Intense Black ink and colored with Copics.  I die cut the stamped image with the coordinating Thin Cut die and attached a few loops of metallic thread.  I mounted the image with 3-D foam tape and added in a few gold sequins. I matted my panel and card with the new Scarlet cardstock.  This deep red will be perfect for your fall creations.

  3. Gorgeous Allisa! Your autumn flower bouquet is lovely and I love the pop of yellow from the watercolour and the contrast with the woodgrain. The red borders work really well too. A great card!
