Time for a new challenge at The Paper Players! LeAnne is hosting a Clean and Simple Pets Challenge this week. I pulled out some old favorites to play along.
My cute little Scottie dog is from the A Bowwow stamp set, which goes way back. The stamp’s cuteness earned it a spot in my stamp collection. I basically have two stamp collections….one that is a revolving door of new products and those old favorites. The new stamps are often getting the most ink…so it was time to play with some of the old favorites. My card is super simple. I inked up my stamps with Intense Black ink and then added in color with Primascolor pencils. I blended out some of the pencils with Gamsol. I kept the blending on the coarse side to mimic the coat of the dog. I couldn’t resist adding a tiny bit of bling to the color. Plaid and Scotties always seem to go together, so I added in some color with paper from the long retired Cruisin line.

I am glad you pulled out an older set for this challenge, Allisa! When I was a child, I wanted a scottie dog SO BADLY, but we only had German shepherds and collies on the farm! Now my niece has two scotties, so I get my fix through her! Your little guy is as handsome as can be! Love the plaid paper to coordinate!
That scottie is beyond cute, Allisa! I can see why he earned a place in your permanent stamp collection. And that argyle plaid is absolute perfection; I can almost hear the bagpipes playing in the background LOL! Super card!

Oooh, this little Scottie is SO cute! I can see why this stamp set earned its place on the "keep" shelf. That little guy is perfectly paired with the fun argyle paper and the sparkly collar is an awesome finishing touch.
