I so love Fall….too bad it only lasts a couple of days in Wyoming! At least that is what it seems like. Once the leave start falling, the snow is sure to start flying! Ann is hosting a color challenge this week at The Paper Players, which is perfect for your Fall creations.
You might have to look closely, but I did use all four colors on my pumpkin scene! My pumpkins are colored with Prismacolor pencils, blended with Gamsol. I used a mix of the Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze for the pumpkins and a mix of Mossy Meadow and Cinnamon Cider for the pumpkin stems. My card is created with one of my favorite Fall sets, Autumn Blessings. In case you missed out on this set in the past, it is still available in the Online Only section of my website. Here is a look at the complete set-
To create my card, I started with a panel of Colonial White cardstock. I first die cut the panel with a stitched cover die. I then stamped the vine image in New England Ivy ink. My sentiment was stamped in Paprika ink. I stamped my row of pumpkins in Intense Black on a separate piece of cardstock and then die cut the image. The pumpkin were colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. The image was then applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. Who else got new toys in Stamptember? The thin rectangle border is from a new to me Frames die set by Simon Says Stamp. I so love the look. I am sure I should have been able to recreate the look with the many rectangle dies I already owned….but I have no patience. This is coming from a person who can not hang a picture straight on the wall….which sometimes carries over into my crafting! With that said, it took me longer to apply the border than to create the whole card! A few bitty sequins finishes off the card.
