The Paper Players #516

While, I am not one to count days….I do know that Christmas is just around the corner.  I even started my Christmas shopping.  Joanne has a new color challenge for us this week at The Paper Players.  We want to see your creations with Real Red, Shaded Spruce, Whisper White plus Silver or Gold.  I have went with the Christmas theme, you are welcome to create any theme with the colors.

I went slightly unconventional in creating my card.  My background was created with theOlive Branches Background Thin Cuts.  I was going for a  more green leaves with red berries type background. To create my card, I cut my background in Evergreen and Candy Apple cardstock.  I did a little fussy cutting to add the red “berries” to my Evergreen background.  My sentiment is from the current Craft with Heart Cardmaking stamp set.  A little stamp surgery allowed me to mix the fonts together. In keeping with the plus Silver or Gold, my panel was matted with Silver Glitter cardstock.  The card really pops in person, yet is flat for easy mailing. Here is a look at the original die-
