The Paper Players #526

The Hearts Background die makes a super sweet Valentine card.  This card came together in minutes and certainly pops with the red hearts.  I created my card based on the Tic Tac Toe Challenge at The Paper Players.  I went with Red, Embossing and Sparkle.

The Hearts Background die does all the work for you!  The finished die cuts a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ rectangle, which is perfect for your A2 card bases.  I cut the die four times in various colors and then assembled.  Super simple and I love the stitched detailing.  Here is a look at the actual die-

I started by cutting the die in White Daisy cardstock and using this as my base panel.  I adhered the white frame directly to my card base.  I then cut three more panels in Candy Apple, Silver Glitter and the red polka dot print from Sweet Safari. Then it was just like a super simple puzzle, adding the hearts back into the frame.  I applied a dot of Liquid Glass adhesive in the center of the hearts and placed my cut hearts on top.  You only need a small amount of adhesive, as the frame helps hold the hearts in place.  You could also cut the whole thing with adhesive backed cardstock!

To finish off my card, I stamped my sentiment in Candy Apple pigment ink and clear embossed.  My sentiment is applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.  Super simple and the card comes together in minutes!  Plus, I have all the supplies to make three more already cut and waiting to be assembled!

  1. Allisa, I really love your card! I have done one similar many years ago and I remember it being relaxing putting the pieces back together and decided which patterns to use. I love that your pieces have a white border! Such a happy card. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players. Take care!
