The Paper Players #529

My craft room is a disaster…and while I really should be cleaning…I decided I would much rather be crafting!  Sadly, I need to get a pet sympathy card in the mail.  The challenge at The Paper Players was the perfect match! The Paper Players is having a CAS Feline Fine Challenge this week.

My card is super simple. I used the negative space from a heart die cut to make the images pop.  I started with a die cut panel of White Daisy cardstock.  I centered a heart die on the front and cut out the negative space.  I then blended a rainbow background with Distress Oxides on my card base. The die cut panel was then mounted onto the card base.  My kitty was stamped in Intense Black ink with color added with Prismacolor pencils.  The kitty was applied with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.

The stamps used on this card are from the Rainbow Bridge stamp set by Close To My Heart.  This set has a variety of images that are perfect for creating sympathy cards.  Here is a look at the complete set-

  1. Aw, this is definitely a sweet sympathy card for sure. You created that rainbow perfectly…if I tried that, it would be a muddled mess! The recipient will truly be touched by your thankfulness! And thanks for playing with my "feline" challenge this week at the Players!
