Tic Tac Toe Challenge #73

It has been awhile since I have created a shaker card.  I wanted a birthday card that really popped, so a shaker card it became!  I based my card on the Tic Tac Toe Challenge, going with the top row of Sequins, Chevron and Violet.

To create my card, I started with a panel of White Daisy cardstock and dry embossed with a Chevron embossing folder.  I then went over the panel with an anti-static powder to help keep my sequins free moving.  I adhered 3-D foam tape around the edges.  A few sequins were adhered directly to the panel with Liquid Glass to help keep all of the sequins falling to the bottom of the card. I then added in a mix of silver sequins and silver stars.  A piece of acetate was cut to size, and anti-static powder applied to the inside.  The acetate was applied on top of the 3-D foam tape to create the shaker base.  I then added my die cut images onto the top with Liquid Glass adhesive.  I random stamped my die cut balloon with a star stamp for added texture. A  baker’s twine bow and die cut frame finishes it off.

The card was actually super simple to make, with a huge impact! The most time consuming part was making sure I put my tape on straight to hold the acetate in place!  Shaker cards are soo much fun, I should really make them more often!
