I so love the super cute frog featured in the new Toadally Awesome stamp set. This set is available with or without Thin Cuts. I have not colored in forever! I promise my blends look better in person than in this blown up pic! I am sneaking in under the wire with the sketch challenge at The Paper Players. Here is the original sketch design-
The moment I saw the sketch, I knew it would be perfect for my little frog scene. I have a family member that loves frogs, so I am sure to get a lot of use out of this set. And honestly, it doesn’t hurt to tell people how awesome they are, just because! I have witnessed so much unkindness this week, that I honestly just want to stay home with my pets….but instead I have been sending out cards to let people know I think they are awesome! It only takes a moment to be kind! Want to send your own toadally awesome cards? Here is a look at the complete set-
The frog is highlighted, as the set is available with a Thin Cut die to cut out the frog scene. To create my card, I started by created a fun background with products from the National Stamping Month promotion. I really wanted my frog to be the main attraction, so I kept my backgrounds super simple. A cloud background was sponged onto the background strip. My sentiment was stamped in Intense Black ink on a mystery piece of blue scrap paper to mimic water for the frog to be in. Color was added to the frog image with Copic markers. The frog scene was then mounted with 3-D foam for extra dimension. I could not resist adding some rolly polly eyes to the frog.
