Warm Wishes

I have enjoyed Fall for far too long…..Winter has arrived and with it the snow flurries. Snow flurries I love, blizzards not so much! Warm Wishes is the perfect greeting for Wyoming winters! I am still trying to rein in control of the craft room….but the desk was clear enough for me to sit and craft for a few of my favorite challenges. This card is based on the sketch challenge at Freshly Made Sketches

My love of snow flurries carries over to my crafting supplies. In the mist of cleaning….I found an unopened box from Simon Says Stamp, which I have no recollection of ordering. I can only assume it was a late night! The contents held a snowflake based kit, so I am sure I did the ordering! This fun pattern paper was included and I decided it was perfect for a snow flake card!

To create my card, I cute the pattern paper with a stitched panel die. A variety of snowflake dies were cut three times and adhered together for added dimension. I did the same with the base of the sentiment, which was heat embossed in silver. A little shimmer was added with a Clear Shimmer Brush over the completed panel. The panel was then adhered to a White Daisy card base. Super simple and I can at least say that I have now used the kit….if only one component of it!

Design Tip: If you happen to be splatter challenged (so me!), the shimmer brushes offered by Close To My Heart make splatters super simple. As an added bonus, they dry quickly for those of us that lack patience with the drying time of paint!
