Excited to be the Guest Designer at Word Art Wednesday this month! The scripture for the challenge is Isiah 7:14. You are welcome to download the scripture and include it in your design, but it is not required. The challenges are anything goes, as long as your creation is family friendly.

The challenge is sponsored by Crafty Individuals and DRS Stamps this week. Sadly, I did not have either company in my stash! I recently received the new Holy Night kit from Simon Says Stamp and decided to ink up some new toys! My new mission is to actually use my craft supplies vs just collecting them! The kit was a sell out, but you can still purchase most of the items individually at Simon Says Stamp.

To create my card, I started by printing the scripture onto White Daisy cardstock. I then die cut the panel with a stitched panel die. The background was sponged on with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I then applied Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide ink using the Holy City Skyline stencils. Details were added with Picket Fence Rose Gold Paper Glaze. The Paper Glaze is new to me and I am totally in love with it! You know what that means, I need “all” the colors! The product is so easy to work with and the win for me is, it also dries quickly! A gold star was die cut with the Holy Star die from Simon Says Stamp. A few splatters were added with a gold shimmer brush.
