Jackpot Win

Long time, no see! I am still working on climbing out of the hole of despair of losing my craft room. The rebuild process has been slow going! I have always thought there were three parts to papercrafting hobbies….the purchasing of supplies, the organizing of supplies and the utilizing of supplies! I have been working on purchasing supplies as funds permit and attempting to organize said supplies as I receive them….which has sadly left little time to actual utilize the supplies and create something! And it is the creating that actually brings me the most joy! I am really hoping to get my act together soon, as I have a lengthy list of cards to create. This card was created with the new Lovely Layers release by Honeybee Stamps, Love Wins. The slot machine was perfect for a unique birthday card for someone that prefers to go gambling on their birthday.

Kudos to the designer of this set. All of the little details are amazing. Just don’t expect to great this card in a few minutes, the details are a little labor intensive. I went with a pink theme to make the card more feminine and added in some mirror cardstock for some casino bling. The layered background adds interest to the card, while also grounding the slot machine.

Supply List:

  • Lovely Layers Love Wins-Honeybee Stamps
  • Quatrefoil Layered Cover Plate-Honeybee Stamps
  • Sugar Cube Cardstock-Taylored Expressions
  • Dragonfruit Cardstock-Taylored Expressions
  • Bubblegum Cardstock-Taylored Expressions
  • Mirror Cardstock-Simon Says Stamp

I have entered my card in the following challenges:
