Another Candle

Have you seen the new interactive stamp sets offered by Close To My Heart? The new core catalog has numerous sets to choose from. While I love the interactive features, nothing says you can’t just stamp the images without the interactive features. My card is designed with the Another Candle Stamp and Thin Cut set. The set totally stands alone without using the interactive features. Here is a look at the images that are included:

To create my card, I started by paper piecing the large cake. To coordinate with the pattern paper, the cake stand was cut out of gold cardstock and heat embossed in gold as well. The candles were colored with Copics. The entire cake image was mounted with 3-D foam tape for added dimension. My fun acrylic sentiment is from the Celebrating You embellishments. The sentiment comes with a silver glitter background. I traced the image onto gold cardstock and fussy cut it out to match my cake platter. A scalloped frame adds a pop of color.
