Poinsettia Mandala

What do you see? A poinsettia or a snowflake? How many of your stamp sets can do double duty? This card was created with the November Stamp of the Month, Snowflake Mandala. While I certainly see the snowflakes in the combined set….I also see a perfect stand alone poinsettia! Here is a look at the complete set-

It could just be that my favorite holiday stamps are snowflakes and most recently poinsettias. I think the snowflake stamps makes a gorgeous poinsettia! I stamped the image once onto Candy Apple cardstock and then onto New England Ivy cardstock and heat embossed in gold. A little fussy cutting and I had my poinsettia and a few leaves to go with. I applied the leaves directly to the card base and adhered the poinsettia with 3-D foam tape for added dimension.

I am playing along with the sketch challenge at Fusion Card Challenge. To follow the sketch design, I added a 1/4″ strip of gold glitter cardstock. My sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in gold. A few gold glitter gems complete the card. Here is the original sketch design-
