Send a Smile 4 Kids Holiday Card

I am excited to be a Guest Designer this month at Send a Smile 4 Kids. We want to see your holiday cards for kids. The sweet images from A Furry Merry Christmas are perfect for a kid appropriate holiday card. This set features a variety of cat and dog themed images for your holiday projects. Here is a look at the complete set-

To create my card, I started by stamping the dog image in Intense Black ink onto Toffee cardstock. Color was added with Prismacolor pencils. The string of lights was highlighted with a gold shimmer brush. White highlights were added to the puppy eyes with enamel accents. The panel was die cut with a stitched scalloped die by Lawn Fawn. A burlap twine bow was added for some rustic charm. The completed panel was mounted with 3-D foam tape onto a layered base of Mix In paper.

All supplies by Close To My Heart, except where noted:

  • D2045 A Furry Merry Christmas Stamp Set
  • Mix In Paper Pack (Sept-Oct)-Retired
  • X5950 Toffee Cardstock
  • Z4189 Intense Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad
  • Prismacolor Pencils
  • Z3316 Gold Shimmer Brush
  • Burlap Twine-Unknown
  • Scalloped Frame Die-Lawn Fawn
  • White Enamel Accents

I have entered my card in the following challenges:

  2. I just love your Christmas card, you’ve picked such a wonderful image to work with and the papers are absolutely fantastic. I liek how everything in your creation falls together so beautifully, and all the embellishments you used add to the main motif without taking attention away from it. Thanks for joining the Alphabet challenge.

    Hugs, Veronika
